In this world you will have trouble, but take heart I have overcome the world: John 16:33
What miracle or breakthrough do you risk missing out on if you bow out when the going gets tough?
Imagine if Stephen Hawking, the famous scientist, had accepted his diagnosis of motor neurone disease and thought he might as well give up. He was only 21 when he got that diagnosis and was not expected to reach his 25th birthday. He is now 75 years old.
God never gives us more than we can handle. He knows the unique load we can carry, which is different for each of us. The load you can carry is different to what I can carry. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says: God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
So when the going gets tough know and trust that God has strengthened and equipped you for the challenge. Don’t bow out. The world needs you to keep going when the going gets tough.
