Every girl has a waiting list of what she wants in a husband right? Anna, who is nearing 30, has been single for awhile and certainly has a list! In fact with each passing month her list seems to be increasing. Below is a teaser from chapter twenty-one of "Her Waiting List", due for release on Amazon.com in September 2014, followed by Anna's list.
______________________________________________________________________________________
Day was creeping into night as Anna sipped on her carrot and cranberry tea, staring out her apartment window. In the other hand was her waiting list. A list compiled of things she had once thought were important, that were not so now.
She had written the list not long after moving to London, around the time of what would have been her and Jesse’s first wedding anniversary. It had remained buried in her underwear drawer for nearly six years, completely untouched and forgotten about until she was cleaning out her drawer an hour ago.
Once unearthed, the list had remained folded on her bed for several minutes as she stared at it, circling it as if it was prey. Finally she opened it. As she read it she found herself in awe of her naivety of what she had wanted in a husband. Perhaps it was the harshness of life, or simply growing maturity, that had changed her priorities of what she wanted.
Non-Negotiable:
Christian, male, straight, no cling-ons (e.g. ex-wife/kids), not psychotic
Negotiable:
Tall, dark, handsome (not really negotiable!), can sew, loves exploring new places, plays racket sports, enjoys cooking (and is good at it) and shopping, is disciplined at saving money, loves the colour blue, is family orientated and is musical.
That's Anna's list. What about yours?
